How often does one need to do foot soak?

Consistency in any protocol is quite important. If one decided to lose weight and their goal was to lose 20 pounds in one month, how could a person achieve this goal? Well, they would set out a plan, a protocol to follow, correct? This is how preventative medicine works, we want to prevent you from getting ill, prevent you from having a chronic long term illness. Depending on what you are coming in for we recommend consistency in getting the foot soaks. Although we offer it in our clinic, you can also take it home and do it yourself. After three to four months of use, we reevaluate the patient and decide from there.

“When a tree dies, it is the roots that die first. When a person ages, it is the feet that age first.”
–Ancient Chinese Proverb

How do they work?

When first putting your feet into the warm water, it causes the blood vessels in your feet and lower legs to dilate. This allows fresh blood to be brought into the feet, a very important action. With this initial increase in blood flow, the feet are primed to receive volatile oils found within these precious herbs. The herbs also contain special constituents known as terpenes which aid in absorbing the herbs through the skin.

HOW FOOT SOAKS WORK

The proprietary blend of pharmaceutical-grade herbs contained in these foot soaks act synergistically to improve blood circulation. The actions and temperatures of the herbs will help the heart to pump faster – similar to going for a walk or exercising. This increase in circulation helps bring fresh blood to injured areas and increases oxygen and nutrients to improve the healing process. Click here to learn more!

For chronic conditions, it is important to keep to a schedule. One treatment won’t fix the problem. Regular foot baths in conjunction with a routine that includes acupuncture and herbs, meditation or quiet rest, dietary changes, and exercise work best. It is advised that you use this routine with the advice of a qualified healthcare practitioner if you have a medical condition.

Most people think of a foot bath as a superficial treatment, however, this technique is actually very powerful medicine. Serious conditions like peripheral neuropathy and high blood pressure respond rapidly to a hot herbal foot bath. The key is to treat the condition properly with the correct medicinal herbs, pure water, and hot temperature.

Soaking your feet in a basin of soothing herbal infusion is more than relaxing, it’s potent medicine. There are thousands of capillaries circulating the feet which serve as little highways of health to the rest of the body. It takes just a few simple tools and a comfy chair in which to enjoy the foot soak treatment.
